about
---------
I went over to California in Spring 2018 and spent a decent chunk of time just driving around. Wrote this song off the back of the trip: this idea that I've got myself into this big mess, I'm questioning my life choices and now I'm deciding whether or not I should leave everything behind to start afresh halfway across the world instead.

LYRICS
Look at the state I'm in
Look at the state of me
Bled myself dry for the world to see
But no-one wants to hear me
Blue skies, not a cloud in sight
Hit the freeway just to drive
Miles of road and city lights
An ocean apart but still on my mind
I won't sleep tonight
I'm lost beyond belief
I belong in this anonymity
Maybe I ought to leave it behind
I can't decide
Look at the state I'm in
Look at the state of me
Bled myself dry for the world to see
But no-one wants to hear me
A change of pace, a different life
Fresh perspective through Pacific eyes
Caused so much destruction I'll never repair
Life gets easier when I'm not there
Burn it down
Call me selfish, call me blind
I feel I've wasted most of my life
Dreams and reality sit so far apart
The goals that I've reached weren't mine at the start
Weren't mine at the start
I keep trying to fill the void
